“I was on a boys trip in New York trying find cool spots for us to hit up for the weekend.  My friend introduced me to this app, and it absolutely was the highlight of the trip. It introduced us to new experiences and made for a legendary weekend.  What was wild is that half the boys I was with lived in NYC and had no clue about the spots I was taking to and loved it.” - Dustin

Roam FAQs

What is Roam?

Roam is a real-time city discovery platform that helps you figure out what to do next. Instead of giving you a static list of places, Roam curates multi-stop routes through venues, events, and neighborhoods based on vibe, timing, and location.

How does Roam work?

Roam generates dynamic crawls — curated routes that can include restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, events, and more. Routes are designed to feel intentional, not random, so your night or day unfolds with flow.

Is Roam just for nightlife?

No. Roam can be used for all kinds of outings — date nights, coffee runs, gallery hopping, drinks with friends, solo exploration, live events, and neighborhood discovery.

What makes Roam different from Google Maps, Yelp, or Instagram?

Most platforms show you places one at a time. Roam helps you move through a city with intention. We don’t just drop pins — we curate an experience. Think less “where should I go?” and more “how should the day or night unfold?”

Is Roam for locals or travelers?

Both. Roam is built for locals who want better plans and for travelers who want a more authentic feel for a city. It’s a concierge on the go — whether you’re in your own neighborhood or somewhere completely new.

Does Roam only show the most popular spots?

No. Roam is designed to help you discover places that actually fit the moment — not just the same top 10 results every platform pushes. We prioritize routes that feel cohesive, memorable, and reflective of the city.

How are routes curated?

Routes are built using a mix of venue data, location, timing, open hours, event context, and user preferences. Over time, Roam is being developed to become even more personalized based on how users interact with the platform.

Can I build my own route?

Yes. Roam supports both generated crawls and user-created routes, so you can either let the platform curate for you or build your own plan.

Can I save venues or crawls?

Yes. You can favorite venues and save crawls to revisit later.

Does Roam include live events?

Yes. Roam is being developed to surface live events and help users build routes around what’s happening in real time.

Is Roam available in every city?

Not yet. Roam is currently rolling out city by city, with an initial focus on Atlanta and New York City.

Is Roam free to use?

Roam is currently free during beta. Premium features, enhanced planning tools, and partner experiences may be introduced later.

Is Roam available as a mobile app?

Roam is currently available on the web, with mobile app access and expanded mobile functionality in development.

How does Roam choose which venues to include?

Roam is intentionally curated. We focus on venues that contribute to strong, cohesive experiences and reflect the energy of a city. Inclusion is not static — the platform evolves over time based on city context, engagement, and feedback.

I own a venue. How can I get featured?

If you’re a venue owner or operator, you can reach out to Roam to learn more about claiming your profile, being featured in crawls, and participating in future partner tools and insights.

Can Roam help drive traffic to my venue or business?

That’s the goal. Roam is designed to guide high-intent users through real neighborhoods and into real businesses — not just show listings.

Is Roam useful for hotels, short-term rentals, or concierges?

Yes. Roam can act as a lightweight discovery layer for guests looking for things to do nearby, making it a strong fit for hospitality, tourism, and local guidebook use cases.

Does Roam track user data?

Roam may collect usage data to improve the product, personalize experiences, and understand how people move through the platform. Any partner-facing insights are designed to be aggregated and privacy-conscious.

Can I use Roam to discover a city more authentically?

Yes. Roam is built for that exact purpose. The goal is to help people move beyond scattered tabs, generic lists, and overexposed recommendations — and into a version of the city that feels more real, more local, and more them.
